Hannecard Ready To Substitute Traditional Hypalon® Based Rubber Coverings

After the announcement by Dupont de Nemours to quit the production of their elastomer brand Hypalon®, the leading roller covering company Hannecard is more than ready to subtitute the traditional Hypalon® based coverings for different applications with ecologically friendly and proven coverings.

This is the result of anticipated R&D programs launched more than three years ago, in line with chemical component reshuffles following upcoming REACH rulings (European restriction and substitution program on some chemicals).
In the mean time, new product ranges, branded with an "E" mark to stress their ecologically sound nature, have been launched successfully. In many domains as the steel industry (pickling, galvanising and other coil processes), textile wet finishing (mercerising, bleaching, dying, …), film/foil production and converting (high temperature resisting nip rollers, …) those new “Hypalon” type compounds have been applied with similar performance compared to the traditional Hypalon® based compounds.

This readiness is more than appreciated by the many users who were worried by the Dupont decision and by the severe price increase Hypalon® has in the meantime suffered worldwide.

Please contact your local technical sales engineers to know more about Hannecard’s solutions specifically for your applications.
