The company is founded by mr. Hannecard, in Ronse, Belgium. The core business is roll covering and surface protection in ebonite.
1982
Take-over of the company and founding of the NV Hannecard: 25 employees and a yearly turnover of 1.15 million €.
1987
Founding of Hannecard Templemars, close to Lille ( France ). Start of the urethane-division and development of the “Hannethane”-compound
1991
After a fire destroys most of the production halls, new buildings are being erected. The polyurethane division starts its manufacturing of technical parts. Founding of Hannecard Tunisia.
1994
Founding of Hannethane NV: the Hannecard urethane division moves to a separate location at the new industrial area of Ronse.
1995
Founding of Hannecard Rhône-Alpes. Manufacturing of glass fibre reinforced sleeves. Hannethane aqcuires the ISO 9002 certificate.
1997
Take-over of roll covering company Kalker (France).
1999
In order to better serve the Dutch market, the commercial agency Hannecard Nederland bv is being founded. Founding of Hannecard Saudi Arabia .
2000
Kalker France acquires the ISO 9002 acknowledgement. Takeover of the Holland based company Trelleborg Velp. Start of the H&M Rollers activities in South Africa as a joint venture.
2001
Both Hannethane NV and Hannecard NV obtain the ISO9001:2000 certificate.
2002
ISO 9001:2000 certificate for Kalker France . Founding of Hannecard Polska in Poland Various joint-ventures in China and Syria .
2003
Starting of Hannecard Algeria. Take-off KDP department at Kalker France ; the brand new production hall, dedicated to the covering and grinding for paper mill presses.
2004
The french family company Ziegler joins the Hannecard Group. In the same year Hannecard announces the acquisition of Hüber&Sühner’s roll covering activities in Switzerland.
2005
Merger of Hannecard and Hannethane. The Hannecard Group obtains the ISO 9001 quality certification.
2006
New additions to the Hannecard family: Italy-based roll coverer Salvas Rulli and south african Rubber Rollers.
2007
End 2006, Hannecard acquires the roller division of the Spanish covering specialist Garay.
